Variable Stroke Wheel Pump / Motors

We are experienced in developing Hydraulic Hybrid in wheel variable Pump / Motors.  We call this  Ride Technology.  The Benefits of our technology include:

• Infinitely Variable Transmission
• Full braking system replacement
• Reduction in total Vehicle parts by up to 25%
• Emissions reduction by 40%
• Increased fuel efficiencies by 50+%
• Power Regeneration of 80+%

Our solution enhances any existing Hydraulic Hybrid Solution by offering the pump/motor in each individual wheel rather than requiring additional parts to transfer the power to the wheels like in all existing Hydraulic Hybrids on the market today.  This unique ability drives the benefits of the technology listed above.
A unique capability of our technology  for a hydraulic drive is the powerswitch feature seen in the two photos above.  Cylinders (red) drive pistons that turn the outer rim of the structure. The photo at right is a drive position; left is neutral.  This afford us to use 0 energy in many instances such as idle.
The Ride pump/motor uses an offset center of rotation. The cylinders are at the inside of the wheel. They drive pistons that turn the outer rim. We place a pump/motor on each wheel and attach it to a central accumulator for power.  An engine or motor would be controlled automatically to increase hydraulic accumulator pressure if it drops too low. When the brakes are applied, the wheel motor would become a pump to pressurize hydraulic fluid, storing energy for later use. Under normal driving conditions, the engine would have to kick in only about 25 percent of the time.
